Your argument makes no sense.

When you do

	ls<space><tab><tab>

and it says

	Display all 122 possibilities? (y or n)

(yeah, my home directory is a mess) do you really think "What? 
120-something commands? etc etc".

Hell no, you don't.

There's a big difference between having the space and not having it, and 
anybody who argues otherwise is being dishonest.
