[PATCH v2 15/23] s390: allow pte_offset_map_lock() to fail
From: Hugh Dickins <hughd@google.com>
Date: 2023-06-08 19:27:46
Also in:
linux-arm-kernel, linux-m68k, linux-mips, linux-mm, linux-riscv, linux-s390, linux-sh, lkml, sparclinux
Subsystem:
kernel virtual machine for s390 (kvm/s390), s390 architecture, the rest · Maintainers:
Christian Borntraeger, Janosch Frank, Claudio Imbrenda, Heiko Carstens, Vasily Gorbik, Alexander Gordeev, Linus Torvalds
In rare transient cases, not yet made possible, pte_offset_map() and pte_offset_map_lock() may not find a page table: handle appropriately. Add comment on mm's contract with s390 above __zap_zero_pages(), and fix old comment there: must be called after THP was disabled.
