Thanks for the suggestion, I did in my cover letter mention the
pre-requisite is your patch.

The kbuild robot can't read cover letters :)

I'll keep that in mind if there is a v4,
otherwise, we'll need to pull in your patch first and then apply this
series.

It'll probably be in my next tomorrow anyway.
