I don't know much about this particular hardware and the kernel, but I'm wondering if it is an overheating problem... The PB seemed a bit hot and the fan on the left side of the PB was not running. BTW, is it possible to turn that fan on via the OS? Or is it automatically turned on when the temperature gets too high near the cpu?
The fans on the lombard are turned on via hardware when the temperature gets too hot. On my PB, I've only had the fans turn on once since I've had it, so it seems they staypretty cool under normal conditions. Regards, Dan Terra Soft Solutions, Inc.
