I don't know much about this particular hardware and
the kernel, but I'm wondering if it is an overheating
problem... The PB seemed a bit hot and the fan on the
left side of the PB was not running. BTW, is it
possible to turn that fan on via the OS? Or is it
automatically turned on when the temperature gets too
high near the cpu?
The fans on the lombard are turned on via hardware when the
temperature gets too hot. On my PB, I've only had the fans turn on
once since I've had it, so it seems they staypretty cool under normal
conditions.
