Hi. I'm trying to get additional information about this feature. I
know that there were some patches added since 2.6.32 for more recent
xeon processors. I'm having a hard time getting specifics on the
hardware required around this.

Thanks so much! So any motherboard with a 3420 chipset should have this
technology or is it embedded in the processor?
You need the right processor. But of course the processor matches up with the appropriate chipset as well.
