The firmware version can be detected by SW, thus there is no need to distinguish it via DT.
I don't know anything about the naming scheme used in the device tree, but I am not sure if the chip-ID is actually useful here.
Since the chip variants handle different panel sizes, it might be useful to be able to distinguish them.
