Upgrading to 2.6.8-rc2 helped. Now there is no freezing. By the way, is this the referece counting bug you and Eugene Crosser discussed some time ago?
point me to the thread in the mailing list archive and I can tell you, but we had two bad reference counting problem and I can't remember if it this one was mentioned by Eugene Crosser or not.
