[PATCH 5.19 338/717] ALSA: dmaengine: increment buffer pointer atomically

From: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
Date: 2022-10-22 08:05:14
Also in: lkml
Subsystem: sound, sound - dmaengine helpers, the rest · Maintainers: Jaroslav Kysela, Takashi Iwai, Lars-Peter Clausen, Linus Torvalds

From: Andreas Pape <redacted>

[ Upstream commit d1c442019594692c64a70a86ad88eb5b6db92216 ]

Setting pointer and afterwards checking for wraparound leads
to the possibility of returning the inconsistent pointer position.

This patch increments buffer pointer atomically to avoid this issue.
