[PATCH AUTOSEL 5.19 72/73] net: lan966x: Fix return type of lan966x_port_xmit

From: Sasha Levin <sashal@kernel.org>
Date: 2022-10-09 22:32:45
Also in: lkml, llvm, stable
Subsystem: microchip lan966x ethernet driver, networking drivers, the rest · Maintainers: Horatiu Vultur, Andrew Lunn, "David S. Miller", Eric Dumazet, Jakub Kicinski, Paolo Abeni, Linus Torvalds

From: Nathan Huckleberry <redacted>

[ Upstream commit 450a580fc4b5e7f7fb8d9b1a0208bf0d1efc53a8 ]

The ndo_start_xmit field in net_device_ops is expected to be of type
netdev_tx_t (*ndo_start_xmit)(struct sk_buff *skb, struct net_device *dev).

The mismatched return type breaks forward edge kCFI since the underlying
function definition does not match the function hook definition.

The return type of lan966x_port_xmit should be changed from int to
netdev_tx_t.
