[PATCH 1/2] net: socket: fix potential spectre v1 gadget in socketcall

From: Jeremy Cline <hidden>
Date: 2018-07-27 22:44:20
Also in: lkml, stable
Subsystem: networking [general], networking [sockets], the rest · Maintainers: "David S. Miller", Eric Dumazet, Jakub Kicinski, Paolo Abeni, Kuniyuki Iwashima, Willem de Bruijn, Linus Torvalds

'call' is a user-controlled value, so sanitize the array index after the
bounds check to avoid speculating past the bounds of the 'nargs' array.

Found with the help of Smatch:

net/socket.c:2508 __do_sys_socketcall() warn: potential spectre issue
'nargs' [r] (local cap)
