One thing that we're not doing (and probably should be) is configuring multicast frames to 01:1B:19:00:00:00 to be destined to the CPU port.
So i did a quick test. If the application joins 224.0.1.129 on the
slave interface, the switch will pass the packets to the host and to
the application.
