[net-next 04/10] ixgbe: add error checks when initializing the PHY

From: Jeff Kirsher <hidden>
Date: 2017-10-09 18:40:23
Subsystem: intel ethernet drivers, networking drivers, the rest · Maintainers: Tony Nguyen, Przemek Kitszel, Andrew Lunn, "David S. Miller", Eric Dumazet, Jakub Kicinski, Paolo Abeni, Linus Torvalds

From: Emil Tantilov <redacted>

Ignoring errors when attempting to identify the PHY can lead to a crash.
Specifically in the case of FW controlled PHYs where the PHY read/write
operations are set to NULL.

Removed redundant comment.
