[PATCH v4 25/26] mm: make range-to-target_node lookup facility a part of numa_memblks

From: Mike Rapoport <rppt@kernel.org>
Date: 2024-08-07 06:46:30
Also in: linux-acpi, linux-arch, linux-arm-kernel, linux-cxl, linux-devicetree, linux-doc, linux-mips, linux-riscv, linux-s390, linux-sh, lkml, loongarch, nvdimm, sparclinux
Subsystem: compute express link (cxl), device direct access (dax), memory management, memory management - numa memblocks and numa emulation, the rest, x86 architecture (32-bit and 64-bit), x86 mm · Maintainers: Davidlohr Bueso, Jonathan Cameron, Dave Jiang, Alison Schofield, Vishal Verma, Ira Weiny, Dan Williams, Andrew Morton, Mike Rapoport, Linus Torvalds, Thomas Gleixner, Ingo Molnar, Borislav Petkov, Dave Hansen, Andy Lutomirski, Peter Zijlstra

From: "Mike Rapoport (Microsoft)" <rppt@kernel.org>

The x86 implementation of range-to-target_node lookup (i.e.
phys_to_target_node() and memory_add_physaddr_to_nid()) relies on
numa_memblks.

Since numa_memblks are now part of the generic code, move these
functions from x86 to mm/numa_memblks.c and select
CONFIG_NUMA_KEEP_MEMINFO when CONFIG_NUMA_MEMBLKS=y for dax and cxl.
