Re: CDDA playback on Pismo (and other newer models)

I've about decided the "clipping" is mostly on the CDs (it's heavily
picked acoustic string stuff), it's just more noticeable when
listening hard for problems (and in particular through those
tinny internal spearkers).

Sound was good here (Sawtooth G4/350), however, I found that the playback
using cdparanoia used 25-50% of my CPU, caused huge latencies (mouse
blocked in X for half a second every 3 or 4 seconds, etc...)
