Apologies to everybody's inbox but this will need a respin to resolve a conflict
in a subsequent commit.

This was to fix a sashiko report (not a bug anywhere in production, but could
lead to bugs in future by accident), and got sashiko + [another AI]-reviewed
before sending all of which missed it :)) the robot overloads are not quite in
charge yet ;)

Fix is simple - update flags at the right time. The error was pre-empting
setting everything rather than just map->vm_file.

Will look through other sashiko stuff then respin a bit later.
