STALE2193d REVIEWED: 5 (5M)

1 review trailer (1 from subsystem maintainers).

[PATCH v2 01/12] ima: Don't ignore errors from crypto_shash_update()

From: Roberto Sassu <roberto.sassu@huawei.com>
Date: 2020-09-04 09:27:25
Also in: linux-integrity, lkml, stable
Subsystem: extended verification module (evm), integrity measurement architecture (ima), security subsystem, the rest · Maintainers: Mimi Zohar, Roberto Sassu, Dmitry Kasatkin, Paul Moore, James Morris, "Serge E. Hallyn", Linus Torvalds

Errors returned by crypto_shash_update() are not checked in
ima_calc_boot_aggregate_tfm() and thus can be overwritten at the next
iteration of the loop. This patch adds a check after calling
crypto_shash_update() and returns immediately if the result is not zero.
