Can you repeat your tests?  I never announced the cxusb tree for testing,
and you tested an old copy.

There was a bug in that version, the new version is posted now.

After hearing successful test results using changeset 56b3acf44eae , I
will ask Mauro to merge it.
56b3acf44eae works for me.  Please feel free to merge it.

Also, the i2c read failed messages that I was getting appear to go away
once I plug in the IR cable into this card (I don't use IR on my
mythbackend).    Can I suggest the following additional patch to stop the
logs filling up with noise in this scenario.  This makes the logging
consistent with the rest of the driver.

Please note:  this was changed to use the DEFAULT xc3028 firmware -- the
au-specific firmware should no longer be necessary.
