Promise SATA300 TX4 with 500 GB drives?

Does anyone know if the Promise SATA300 TX4 works with the new 500 GB
disks from Seagate (7200.9)?  Their web site and support personnel say it
supports disks "up to 400 GB".  Anyone have it working with bigger disks?
