I posted on linux-fbdev-users list re: an issued with dpms a couple of
days ago and I was wondering if anyone is still subscribed to this list
apart from myself.
Hi,
The -users mailing list has had 12 postings in 2009.
I'd say it's mostly dead. Just use this (fbdev-devel) list.
After having a look at the archive I agree.
If this is the consensus wouldn't it be a good idea to shut the users
list down and point to the devel mailing list to avoid misleading
anyone? (perhaps -announce too?)
Yes, that's a good idea. Is it possible?
It used to be nearly impossible to kill off a mailing list at sourceforge.net...
I think it is.
I was subscribed to a mailing list of this project:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/rt2400/
until they decided to move away from sourceforge and in this process
shut the mailing lists they had there down. So it seems possible
although I don't know the technical details how to do this.
