This is an fbdev problem, I guess.  I'll reassign the report.

I assume what you mean here is that 2.6.29-rc5 fails, and that you're
not aware of any earlier kernel version which did not fail.

Problem Description: s2disk hangs before switching to console ("s2disk:
Snapshotting system" message ->REISUB) with nvidiafb.

dmesg.0 | grep buf

[    1.660825] fb1: VESA VGA frame buffer device

hangs.

nVidia Framebuffer Support

in this case everything works OK.
