Need help !

Hi all do I need to add any fonts in fonts directory to see the any console output through fbcon ? Right now I am able to see the blinking cursor but any data from it . can somebody help me what should I do to see the cosole output on a frame buffer device ? The frame buffer driver is working in graphics mode .
