I posted it to the fbdev list @ sf.net (from MAINTAINERS) but that list
seems to be pretty quiet and www.linux-fbdev.org (also from MAINTAINERS)
seems to be down -- is there a more appropriate place these days for
framebuffer stuff?

Sorry about the delay. I have been working on the video resize code. We 
are on the list. As for www.linux-fbdev.org. That has never been fixed. 
Some how that domain name is in limbo :-( The sf site is the main site for 
fbdev developement. I need to look over your driver in detail today.
