[PATCH v2 07/27] compat: provide compat_ptr() on all architectures
From: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
Date: 2019-12-17 22:17:48
Also in:
linux-block, linux-fsdevel, linux-scsi, lkml
Subsystem:
arm64 port (aarch64 architecture), linux for powerpc (32-bit and 64-bit), mips, parisc architecture, s390 architecture, sparc + ultrasparc (sparc/sparc64), the rest, x86 architecture (32-bit and 64-bit) · Maintainers:
Catalin Marinas, Will Deacon, Madhavan Srinivasan, Michael Ellerman, Thomas Bogendoerfer, "James E.J. Bottomley", Helge Deller, Heiko Carstens, Vasily Gorbik, Alexander Gordeev, "David S. Miller", Andreas Larsson, Linus Torvalds, Thomas Gleixner, Ingo Molnar, Borislav Petkov, Dave Hansen
In order to avoid needless #ifdef CONFIG_COMPAT checks, move the compat_ptr() definition to linux/compat.h where it can be seen by any file regardless of the architecture. Only s390 needs a special definition, this can use the self-#define trick we have elsewhere.
