[PATCH v4 07/10] ASoC: dt-bindings: clarify areg-supply documentation

From: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
Date: 2026-01-13 10:59:46
Also in: linux-rt-devel, linux-sound, lkml
Subsystem: open firmware and flattened device tree bindings, sound - soc layer / dynamic audio power management (asoc), texas instruments audio (asoc/hda) drivers, the rest · Maintainers: Rob Herring, Krzysztof Kozlowski, Conor Dooley, Liam Girdwood, Mark Brown, Shenghao Ding, Kevin Lu, Baojun Xu, Sen Wang, Linus Torvalds

From: Emil-Juhl <redacted>

The documentation for areg-supply could cause confusion mainly in terms
of the relationship between AREG and AVDD.
According to the datasheet[1] the AREG can be one of two cases:

1) an external 1.8V supply
2) generated by an internal regulator (hence a 1.8V output)
