This is actually a false statement. "Applied" is past tense, so you
are saying that this patch has *already* been applied to Kumar's
powerpc.git repository. But this is not true -- Kumar's repository
has not been updated in the last three weeks, and this patch is
nowhere to be found.
I'm pretty sure the sentence should read:
Based on git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/galak/powerpc.git
branch next
Good idea to correct that for future submissions, as it is otherwise
confusing. Could also say "Developed against" instead of "Based on".
