Bluetooth 5 support

Hi,
Now that many devices with Bluetooth 5 support are coming into the
market, I would like to know if there is any plan to upgrade Bluez to
support Bluetooth 5?

My understanding is, currently Bluez supports Bluetooth 4.2:
