[PATCH v4 19/40] namei: introduce struct renamedata
From: Christian Brauner <hidden>
Date: 2020-12-04 00:03:10
Also in:
linux-ext4, linux-fsdevel, linux-integrity, linux-security-module, selinux
Subsystem:
cachefiles: fs-cache backend for caching on mounted filesystems, ecrypt file system, filesystems (vfs and infrastructure), kernel nfsd, sunrpc, and lockd servers, overlay filesystem, the rest · Maintainers:
David Howells, Tyler Hicks, Alexander Viro, Christian Brauner, Chuck Lever, Jeff Layton, Miklos Szeredi, Amir Goldstein, Linus Torvalds
In order to handle idmapped mounts we will extend the vfs rename helper
to take two new arguments in follow up patches. Since this operations
already takes a bunch of arguments add a simple struct renamedata (based
on struct nameidata) and make the current helper use it before we extend
it.

/* v4 */
- Serge Hallyn [off-list ref]:
- Use "mnt_userns" to refer to a vfsmount's userns everywhere to make
terminology consistent.
- Christoph Hellwig [off-list ref]:
- Declare variable on separate lines instead of chaining them and
wrapping with weird indentation.
