Re: VAIO PCG-GR414SP no battery status report

I have the above laptop and with kernels 2.4.18 and 2.4.19 there is no
battery status report in /proc/apm or /proc/acpi/battery when compiled
with APM or ACPI respectively..

You must add the ACPI patch from sourceforge.net/projects/acpi for 2.4.18
(don't know, if a 2.4.19 diff is already available).
In the kernel changelog (2.4.19) I read about a ACPI merge from andrew
grover, but it doesn't seem to be current (doesn't look like 2.4.18 + acpi
patch at all).
