for those just getting into embedded linux, i've updated my wiki page showing how to build linux using yocto for the beagleboard xM here: http://www.crashcourse.ca/wiki/index.php/Yocto_Project_Quick_Start it's fairly terse -- true beginners should probably start at the official yocto pages, http://yoctoproject.org/, but if you just need a tested recipe to get up and running, the wiki page should do it. feedback welcome. next up -- the pandaboard ES.
I was trying to build core-image-minimal for panda and I have problem with fetching meta-ti kernel (thread: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.embedded.yocto.meta-ti/1125). Maybe you have same problems.
