system stucks in run_init_process

Thanks Mulyadi Santosa !

But it (devtmpfs) is maintaining default devices, I have static
devices to be created in CPIO root file system whose path is given in
INITRAMFS SOURCE. So devtmpfs is overriding my static devices. Any
ways I could use my static entries at /dev ?

Thanks,
Rahul B.

Hi,

I have disabled CONFIG_DEVTMPFS in kernel config and system stucks in
run_init_process call which is called after freeing initmem. Any idea
why this is happening. If devtmpfs is enabled, it runs normally. I am
using 3.3.2 kernel.
A bit googling shows this:
http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/DEVTMPFS.html

it seems that devtmpfs is a new way to create /dev
entries....therefore, without it, boot will fail. That's the best I
can conclude from the passage in the URL
