I got this to work and had a good experience but got this from an arm user:

Core was generated by `git'.

It might be the effect of __attribute__((packed)). Maybe you could try
again without that in builtin/index-pack.c. Also could you run gdb and
do

p sizeof(*ofs_deltas)

? No need to actually run it from gdb.
