Hrm, what if the end user said "git rebase --autosquash -p" explicitly
from the command line?

The option "--autosquash" is designed to have no effect whenever
"--interactive" is not supplied.

Ahh, Ok.  I somehow thought "rebase --autosquash" implied "-i".
