how to switch from serial console to framebuffer console

hi all, I am working on a custom board, which runs linux-2.4.17. This board has frame buffer support. i am loading frame buffer driver as a module and its working fine. The system boots with the serial console. After this i dont know how to switch over to framebuffer console. Can any one help me in this. Thanx in advance.
