porting linux kernel to Motorola MPC8260ADS board

Looking for some info on what changes you have to make to the generic linux kernel (let's say, 2.4.18) in order to get things running on the Motorola MPC8260ADS board. Seems that the board is not supported explicitly. Anyone know why, seeing as how this is a standard evaluation board that has been around for a while... Thanks in advance, Pete Yahoo!
