rsync access of kernel sources

Hi,

Sometimes when I have rsynced with the mvista mirror of the kernel
sources the
source tree is in a inconsistent state, i.e. some files are missing.

I suspect this is because I rsynced at the same time as the mirror is
beeing updated.

I imagine this is done automatically at predefined times.

At what times should I avoid rsyncing with the mvista mirrors?
