2.4.2 and ANS

Hi all,

I have a little dispute with kernel 2.4.2 on my ANS. When I install the
new kernel and reboot, I get:

Calling quiesce ...
DEFAULT CATCH!, code=FF00300

When I disable the support for 'early boot text console', the kernel won't
continue to boot either.

I really would like to get 2.4.2 running on my ANS ( as do others I know)
