Hi all
Attached is the latest XFree86.0.log as well as the XF86Config from my
recent build (yesterday) of 4.0.1 with the drivers rsync'ed from
penguinppc.org. Hey, at least it doesn't crash the machine (AGP G4, 2
r128) :-). Any suggestions on what to do or where to start debugging?

A gdb backtrace mey be interesting, at least with a static server.
You are using the same Monitor for both Screens. Have you tried using
different ones? (All in terms of XF86Config ;)

This may be a stupid question, but why have you commented out your input devices?

Comment out the vgaHWSave/vgaHWRestore calls in r128_driver.c and
try again (defining R128_DEBUG in r128.h will be a good idea also)

Well, I'm not all that familiar with debugging this low level stuff. When I
tried running the X server within gdb, the whole system crashed. I suppose I
need to figure out how to enable debug options and recompile.

The XF4 docs say that sharing the monitor def is ok. Still, I will separate
the defs and try again.

I'm using implicit input devices - that is basically left over from when I
was understanding XF 4 config.
See http://www.xfree86.org/4.0.1/DESIGN2.html. I doubt the segfault has
anything to do with the implicit devices because they work just fine with a
single monitor. Nonetheless, I'm going to revert to explicit devices to
simplify things.
