Q: How to address USB devices?

Hi all,

A quick question: How do you address a device hooked up via USB with 
LinuxPPC 1999 Q3? Like, for example, a USB CD drive or CD burner? Is it 
the same for a Yose as with an iMac?

Just wondering...
