CD-RECORDERS

okay, here is my question:
what dose it take to get a PowerCenter 132 with only the internal SCSI
controler
to user CDRECORD? I am using stock LinuxPPC rev4. with the 2.1.24
kernel.
What do i have to recompile/patch/buy to burn a CD using a Sony 2x CDR?
I have gotten to the point that the bus detaches and times out....
Has anybody gotten further...
