[PATCH v1 1/1] serial: 8250_dw: Drop wrong use of ACPI_PTR()

DORMANTno replies LANDED

From: Andy Shevchenko <andriy.shevchenko@linux.intel.com>
Date: 2021-10-05 14:07:41
Also in: lkml
Subsystem: 8250/16?50 (and clone uarts) serial driver, intel lpss (low power subsystem) drivers, synopsys designware 8250 uart driver, the rest, tty layer and serial drivers · Maintainers: Greg Kroah-Hartman, Ilpo Järvinen, Linus Torvalds, Jiri Slaby

Landed in mainline as ebabb77a2a11 on 2021-10-10.

ACPI_PTR() is more harmful than helpful. For example, in this case
if CONFIG_ACPI=n, the ID table left unused which is not what we want.

Instead of adding ifdeffery here and there, drop ACPI_PTR().
