Subject: 3w 8500 supported in 2.6?

hi,

I intend to purchase a 3ware Escalade 8500-4 S-ATA RAID controller. could
anybody confirm whether this card/family is
supported by the 3w-xxxx standard driver of the 2.6.x kernels? thanks in
advance.

cheers,
John.
