radeonfb: RV410 support?

Hello, A quick question: is there any way of getting radeonfb to work on a Radeon X700 Pro, i.e. on a RV410-based card, with a recent kernel? I have found a patch for 2.6.20 (http://lwn.net/Articles/215965/), but can't get it to apply to 2.6.21. On the same note, are there any estimations on when this feature is to be incorporated into the main kernel tree? It sure has been a while since that patch was posted...
