I can help on one thing. The dsdt on my Evo n1000v also says EVON800.

Subject: [ACPI] Compaq Presario 1505US and ACPI

I've picked up quit a bit over the last few hours, here and on a couple
sites at mobilix. Lots of great info.thanks. Before I start dumping and
tweaking the dsdt by removing *'s though, I wonder if someone can shed a
little light on something.

Part of the top line in /proc/acpi/dsdt reads COMPAQEVON800. I was under
the impression that my Presario 1500 series laptop was related to the Evo
N1000 series and the Presario 2800 family was related to the Evo N800
family. Aside from removing the *'s, there are differences in renaming the
different id's (C11B etc.) between information in the devel list and on
some of the web sites.

Is there a suggested baseline for renaming the id's to names (bat1/2, =
lid,
acad, sleep) or is it kinda just find what works by swapping around?

Thanks in advance.
