patch for ACPId for 2.5.33 kernel?

Hi ACPI developers, I'm using 2.5.33 kernels for testing and helping to find bugs and errors. Now I'd like to get acpid running on my 2.5.33 kernel but the regular acpid is only for 2.4 kernels working. How do I get it to work with 2.5 kernels?
