We are conducting a short survey about the SCM systems that you use
professionally and personally and why.  It's only a few questions and we
will share the results of the survey in this discussion group when it has
been completed and analyzed so everyone can walk away with some useful
information.

the impression that there is no benefit for me whatsoever to fill out the 
survey, but possibly half an hour (or more) of net time lost on hacking.

It is not enough for me to know that you conduct "some survey".

It was 6 questions.  Maybe 20 tick boxes in total.  I completed it in
about the same time it took you to moan about it.
