git benchmark

hi all, I installed both git and mercurial, I would like to repeat test as per http://git.or.cz/gitwiki/GitBenchmarks but I need help on how to run them... hints? I'm really not a git/mercurial expert so step by step instruction would be more then appreciated, then I'll run test and report results... Thanks.
