            Bug ID: 2038
           Summary: net/intel/ice: xtr_field_offs parsed one byte wide
           Product: DPDK
           Version: 26.11
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: ethdev
          Assignee: dev@dpdk.org
          Reporter: stephen@networkplumber.org
  Target Milestone: ---

drivers/net/intel/ice/ice_ethdev.c:735, ice_ethdev.h:637

handle_field_offs_arg() stores a uint8_t:

        uint8_t *offset = offs_args;
        ...
        *offset = atoi(value);

but the caller passes &ad->devargs.xtr_field_offs, which is an int. Only
one of the four bytes is written, so the rest keeps whatever was there.
Distinct from item 2 (different handler, opposite direction).

Fixes: df539aaf35cb ("net/ice: refactor flex descriptor protocol field
extraction")
